Good Flag Habits

Fly it Proudly

Fly the flag.  Fly it often (especially on holidays).  Keep your flag fresh and untattered, and let it reflect both the values you hold dear.

Protect it

The American Flag deserves the respect of a grateful nation. Never let it touch the ground and take it down during harsh weather.

Light it Up

You can keep your flag up 24 hours a day.  But if you do, light it up proudly.  It's part of the flag code, but it also LOOKS AWESOME!

Retire With Honor

When you see rips, tears, or faded colors, you should retire your old flag with honor and replace it with a fresh one. Let us help!

Installing Your Flag On Wood

The fastest and easiest way to get your flag flying is to install your flag bracket on a wood column, wood door frame or wood roof flashing. Simply drill a few pilot holes and screw in your bracket.

Tools you'll need for wood installation:

 Pencil

1.5'' Screws
(Included in Kit)

Impact Driver with Philips #2 Bit

Power Drill with 3/32'' Drill Bit

Buy one

Steps to install on wood:

STEP 1 - Remove the location card from your American Flag Club Kit.  Poke out the three circles in the card with your drill or a hole punch.

STEP 2 - Place the card where you intend to mount your flag bracket and use the holes in the card to mark three points with a pencil.

Step 3 - Using your power drill with a 3/32 drill bit, drill 3 pilot holes about an inch and half deep into the three pencil marks you just made.

Step 4 - You should now have three pilot holes ready for your screws.

Step 5 - Thread your first screw through the bottom hole in your bracket. Using your impact drill with a Phillips #2 bit, drive the first screw into the bottom pilot hole.

Step 6 - Install the 2nd and 3rd screws into the top pilot holes and ensure that your bracket is secure.

Step 7 - Now thread your pole sections together. Be sure that the thinner male thread is inserted into the wider female end.  The pole section without a thread goes on the very bottom of your pole.

Step 8 - Slide the top flag clip onto your pole and tighten the screw using included hex wrench.  Now unfurl your flag and clip on the flag to the top flag grommet.

Step 9 - Slide the second flag clip onto the pole and clip on the bottom flag grommet. Be sure to leave a little slack in the flag when positioning your 2nd flag clip. Tighten the screw.

Step 10 - Place your flag in the bracket.

Step 11 - Remove the butterfly screws included with your kit and insert them into the threads on the side of your bracket. This will lock in your flag. The lower position in your bracket will allow you to fly your flag at half staff.

Enjoy your beautiful, fresh new flag!
